Apple today introduced the new 2022 Mac Studio and Studio Display. The new model is 7.7″ wide by 3.7″ tall. It uses Apple’s M1 Max CPU and new M1 Ultra CPU. Apple’s new M1 Ultra CPU with UltraFusion architecture is eight times faster than the M1 CPU and allows for up to 128GB RAM. M1 Ultra features a 20-Core CPU and 64-Core GPU. A wide range of ports and connectivity are present, including an SD card slot, multiple Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI ports, and support for up to 4 Pro Display XDRs and a 4K TV. Mac Studio with an M1 Max CPU is 50% faster than the current Mac Pro and features three times the GPU speed. With the M1 Ultra CPU, it’s 90% faster and features up to 80% faster graphics. 128GB of graphics is available along with up to 8TB of SSD storage. The new Studio Display features a slim 27″ 5K Retina display with 600 nits brightness and True Tone. It also has an A13 Bionic chip inside driving its 12MP Ultra Wide Camera system. Three speakers are included supporting Spatial Audio. Three USB-C ports are included as well as a Thunderbolt port.
