Apple introduces new 2018 13″ MacBook Air with Retina display
Apple today introduced a new redesigned 13″ MacBook Air for 2018 with smaller and slimmer profile and new Retina display. The new model features a narrow black glass bezel, wedge shape similar to the 12″ MacBook, force touch trackpad, and third-generation Butterfly keyboard. A Touch ID sensor is included for the first time on the MacBook Air.
An eighth generation Intel Dual-Core i5 processor is standard along with up to 16GB of memory and up to 1.5TB SSD storage. Two USB C/Thunderbolt 3 ports are available.
The standard base configuration includes a 1.6GHz Core i5 processor, 128GB SSD, and 8GB RAM for $1199 at Apple. Order today for delivery around November 7th.
A second standard configuration will include a 1.6GHz Dual-Core Intel i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD for $1399.
The previous-generation 13″ 1.8GHz/128GB MacBook Air remains available as Apple’s notebook price leader for $999.
