Apple discontinues $1999 15″ 2.2GHz Retina MacBook Pro

Apple has officially discontinued 2015 15″ 2.2GHz Retina MacBook Pro which it has used as their $1999 15″ MacBook Pro price leader for the past couple of years. That leaves the new 2018 15″ 2.2GHz Touch Bar MacBook Pro as Apple’s least expensive 15″ MacBook Pro for $2399.

The 15″ 2.2GHz Retina MacBook Pro is still available at Apple as a Certified Refurbished model for $1699, making it the cheapest 15″ MacBook Pro available on Apple’s site.
