DriveSavers Upgrades Its Free Data Recovery Offer to Include Hurricane Irma Victims

DriveSavers, a worldwide leader in data recovery, eDiscovery and digital forensic solutions, today announced it will provide free data recovery services to Florida residents who lose data as a result of Hurricane Irma. The company is once again donating time, resources and years of experience to retrieve data from water-damaged hard drives, smartphones, tablets, laptops and other data storage devices.

“Since our announcement last week weve received countless calls and emails from victims of hurricane Harvey,” said Scott Moyer, president of DriveSavers. “We are still accepting water-damaged devices and recovering the data for free. Now we are faced with a new challenge brought on by Hurricane Irma which could make landfall over the weekend. Whatever happens, we want to ensure customers in the area that we will extend our free data recovery offer to them should their phones, computer hard drives and other devices suffer water damage caused by Irma.”

Because exposure to water and air cause corrosion on electronic circuitry, customers must contact DriveSavers and ship their device no later than September 30, 2017. There is a limit of one device per business or household. Customers needing additional recoveries, and those with multi-disk devices such as RAID, NAS and SAN devices, are eligible for a 50 percent discount off the regular service fees.

DriveSavers will accept as many water-damaged devices that it can. However, it may limit the number of free recoveries based on the company’s workload, cost of parts and availability of personnel.

Those who require data recovery should call DriveSavers immediately at 800.440.1904 or visit http://www.drivesaversdatarecovery.com. In-house advisors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
