Sprint to Offer 10.5-inch iPad Pro and Refreshed 12.9-inch iPad Pro

Sprint has announced it will offer the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro and secomd-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro, featuring ProMotion display technology and the powerful new A10X Fusion chip.

The new 10.5-inch model reduces display bezel border width by nearly 40 percent for a compact device that still weighs just one pound. Combined with powerful new iPad features in iOS 11 coming this fall, like the new macOS Finder directory substitute app ‘Files,” enhanced multitasking, and deeper integration of Apple Pencil, iPad Pro gives users multiple ways to be more productive and creative.

Sprint customers can order 0.5-inch iPad Pro and 12.9-inch iPad Pro starting today at http://www.sprint.com. Both models arrive in Sprint stores on Tuesday, June 13.

Sprint says its overall network reliability continues to beat T-Mobile and performs within 1% of Verizon and AT&T, based on recent data from independent network measurement Nielsen.1 With an average of 204MHz of spectrum and more than 160MHz of 2.5GHz spectrum in the top 100 U.S. markets, Sprint claims more spectrum than any other carrier across the nation, allowing the company to keep adding the capacity and speed needed to serve customers increasing demand for unlimited data.

iPad Pro’s, redesigned Retina display features ProMotion, a new technology that delivers refresh rates up to 120Hz for fluid scrolling, greater responsiveness and smoother motion content. With ProMotion, Apple Pencil is also more responsive with a claimed industry-best, 20-millisecond latency for more fluid and natural drawing. ProMotion also improves display quality and reduces power consumption by automatically adjusting the display refresh rate to match the movement of the content.

Apple says the iPad Pro’s advanced Retina display is its brightest iPad display yet and features antireflective coating. True Tone dynamically adjusts the white balance of the display to match the light around you for a more natural and accurate viewing experience and a wide color gamut enables iPad Pro to deliver digital cinema-standard colors. Apple says its new 64-bit A10X Fusion chip provides faster performance than most PC laptops shipping today. A six-core CPU and 12-core GPU deliver a claimed 30 percent faster CPU performance and 40 percent faster graphics performance than the preceding A9X chip, while still delivering all-day battery life. iPad Pro features the same advanced front- and back-facing cameras as iPhone 7, including a 12-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization and a 7-megapixel FaceTime HD camera, as well as a four-speaker audio system.

Support for LTE Advanced and 802.11ac Wi-Fi, along with an embedded Apple SIM make it easier to stay connected when traveling in more than 180 countries and regions.

Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard are available for purchase separately. Advanced sensors in Apple Pencil measure both pressure and tilt for a natural drawing, annotating and note taking. A new full-sized Smart Keyboard has been custom-designed for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro, offering a thin yet durable keyboard that never needs to be charged or paired over Bluetooth and is easily foldable into a protective Smart Cover.
