Late Breaking Rumors Predict New iPad Air And mini With More RAM For Thursday Announcement

Japanese Apple watcher blogsite Macotakara is predicting, citing unnamed “reliable information sources, “that an iPad Air (2nd Generation) and iPad mini Retina (2nd Generation) will be announced at Apple’s special event in Cupertino on Thursday.

9To5MAc’s Zac Hall reports that component leaks over the weekend suggest an A8X chip and Touch ID button will be incorporated in the new iPads, and perhaps most exciting, at least for productivity-oriented iPad users, purported leaked photos posted by blog apple.club.tw indicate what appears to be 2GB of RAM for application memory, which would be double the RAM configuration of the current generation iPad Air (and four times that of my old iPad 2 or an original iPad mini, which would make the full-sized iPad a more more powerful multitasking device.
