Finally Some iPad mini 3 Rumors
Over the past six months or so, the rumor mills regarding the next generation iPads have focused almost exclusively on the iPad Air, leading some to infer that the iPad mini might get passed over in the update assumed to be coming Thursday.
However, Macworld UK has posted a roundup reporting what little is known and/or suspected in a possible iPad mini 3 (mini Retina 2).
Macworld notes that Apple usually leaves 7 to 10 days before making new products announced available to buy, so they think 24 October is the most likely iPad mini 3 release date, although pre-orders may be offered.
They predict that the iPad mini 3 wlll look pretty much the same as the current model, but there may be a new gold colour option in addition to silve and Space gray though. There’s talk of a gold iPad mini to match the colour option available for the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 5S.
A Touch ID fingerprint sensor is expected along with an
A8 processor, an improved (likely 8 mpxl) camera, and a long shot Retina HD.
Macworld thinks that will be pretty much it (I agree)
