2024 to feature a complete Apple AirPods overhaul

Apple AirPodsApple is preparing to revamp its AirPods lineup in 2024, pushing for some of the first major changes to come to the AirPods line. This is due to the rising competition in the market, especially from rivals such as Jabra, Samsung, and Bose.

A fresh fourth-generation AirPods with a revised design, a refashioned case, enhanced audio quality, a snugger fit, and USB-C charging is expected later in the year. A more luxurious version of the fourth-generation AirPods will have active noise cancellation and a case with speakers to offer Find My alerts, which could be useful in helping to locate the device if it is lost. New AirPods Max with a USB-C port and fresh colors will demonstrate Apple’s commitment to the product since its 2020 update. Finally, AirPods Pro will be redesigned with an updated chip.

The modifications to the entry-level AirPods should make it easier to market to the public. At the moment, it is not always easy to understand why people should buy the mid-tier AirPods at $169 when the base model is at $129. The new features should differentiate them more significantly. Furthermore, the addition of USB-C will please those who already have that connector on their iPhones.
