MyFirstMac.com Launched For Newcomers To The Mac Platform

Do you have friends and family asking you if they should get a Mac, or how to use the one they just got? My First Mac is intended to be the website you can direct these inquiring minds to, knowing that there they will find independent, helpful answers. MyFirstMac is forming a welcoming community where no question is a dumb question and solutions are offered in plain English.

Computer pros are invited to think of My First Mac as Mac daycare that can hopefully help by answering all the basic questions and get your friends and family up and running on their new Mac. The site’s authors say pros and power users can help by referring noobs to then and letting colleagues in pro computer circles know about My First Mac. And if you’re a frequent poster to tech forums, they’d be delighted if you posted on theirs so the can spread it around.

And if you’ve been using Macs for years and enjoy helping others with theirs, you might consider becoming a MyFirstMac.com contributor, sharing your knowledge by writing articles that would fit in the scope of the categories across the top of the site.

The editors can provide you direction on the topics as well as editorial and graphic assistance. However, at this point they don’t have the resources to provide you with any financial compensation, just the satisfaction of helping others. More information is available on the site.
