Ramjet MacBook Pro Memory “Unibody” – DDR3-1066Mhz or DDR3-1333Mhz And Storage Drive Upgrades

Ramjet has DDR3-1333 memory upgrades available for the new revision early-2011 MacBook Pros, as well as a wide selection of storage drive upgrades — both HDD and SSD.

The original series “Unibody” MacBook Pro runs DDR3-1066 memory, and the new Feb. 24, 2011 release “Unibody” Sandy Bridge MacBook Pro runs DDR3-1333.

The “Unibody” MacBook Pro with the black bezel model can run up to 8GB maximum, depending on model, However, some older versions can only run 6GB maximum.

• Non-Stacked IC’s:
Ramjet uses a Non-stacked module for the 4GB DDR3-106 and the DDR3-1333 module for the MacBook Pro. The cheaper stacked IC variety of 4GB SO-DIMM draws more power, which increases heat and decreases battery life. Ramjet only uses premium non-stacked chips.

• 1066 vs. 1067?:
The correct name for this memory is DDR3-1066. But since it runs at 1066.66Mhz, the Apple System Profiler reports it as 1067Mhz.

Macbook Pro Hard Drives

These internal hard drives are compatible with all models of the MacBook Pro, save for the 640GB and 1TB drives, which are only compatible with the “Unibody” MacBook Pro models, and the “Original” 17 inch MacBook Pro.
